A VERY SPECIAL PROM AND MORE!
An opportunity for young adults with special to experience a formal prom, created with their needs in mind. This prom serves students in the Charleston Metro Area and surrounding cities from age 14 and up, whose physical and mental disabilities may limit their attendance and active involvement in their local high school prom festivities.
In 2012, we worked with 11 schools and had nearly 60 participants, in three years we have nearly tripled our impact in our community. We are continouly setting the bar high and amaing ourselves. Since 2013 we have also began sucessfully hosting A Very Special Boutique, in which we provide our expectioanl young adult with prom attire. For The Exceptional looks forward to hosting A Very Special Prom and Boutique for many to come.

EXCEPTIONAL SATURDAYS
A fun filled day of hands-on activities that are nothing short of Spectacular! Exceptional Saturdays provide temporary relief for the caregivers of teens with developmental delays. This event provides temporary relief for the caregivers of teens with developmental delays, and at the same time enriches their lives by providing support for growth, development and social skill building
FAMILY COOKOUT AND RESOURCE FAIR
This is a great opportunity for families to Get Out, Get Informed. There is not a better way to bring together famlies, resources, fun and great Charleston BBQ. All for a wonderful cause, our special needs community.
